The Société Française de BioInformatique (SFBI) [French Society of Bioinformatics] was created in 2005 to promote Interdisciplinary and Multidisciplinary Research in Bioinformatics at the interface of Molecular Biology, Computer Science, Mathematics and Physics.

SFBI mission is to bring together French speaking researchers, teachers and engineers – working on issues relevant to Bioinformatics – for meetings and scientific exchanges.
SFBI participates and ensures durability of the JOBIM symposium, annual national conference of bioinformatics  that brings together 300-500 people.

SFBI diffuses through a moderated mailing-list (bioinfo@sfbi.fr) job, internship and PhD position offers within the Francophone bioinformatics community. Information on training (courses/workshops) along as national or international scientific events in Bioinformatics are also posted on the SFBI mailing-list.
